Terms & Conditions

By making use of this website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms and conditions. We reserve the right to amend or adjust these terms at any time.

1. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All content on this website, including design, logos, packaging designs, and layout, is under copyright. Any unauthorized copying or use by another person or company will result in the parties involved being held accountable.

2. Product Specifications

  • Bulb Size & Quantity: Prices are per single bulb unless otherwise stated. Wherever possible, bulbs with offsets are left intact, though this is not always possible with rare or difficult varieties.

  • Maturity: Smaller species are supplied as flowering-sized bulbs. Very large species are typically supplied as 3 to 4-year-old bulbs to facilitate safe shipping.

  • Success Rate: Information provided is based on various references and personal experience. While we provide guidance, we cannot guarantee your individual success or failure in growing the material. Bulbomads is not accountable for plants that die once in the customer's care.

3. Packaging & Environment

We aim to minimize our environmental footprint by using breathable brown paper bags. Delicate bulbs may be wrapped in bubble wrap for protection, while species that cannot tolerate drying out will be packed in sealable plastic bags.

4. Secure Payment

Payments are made via Credit/Debit card at the time of ordering. We use iKhokha, a secure, encrypted online payment gateway. Your sensitive financial information is not stored on our website, ensuring a safe shopping experience.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Standard Rates: Postage and packing is a flat rate of R160.00 per parcel.

  • Rural/Farm Surcharge: Addresses on farms, plots, or in rural areas incur an additional R290.00 charge (Total R450.00), as dictated by our courier service.

  • Lead Times: We aim to dispatch orders within 10 to 14 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays).

  • Pre-Orders: Winter bulb pre-orders placed in January/February will commence shipping in March.

  • Delays: If issues arise (e.g., incorrect address), we will contact you immediately. This may cause the delivery to exceed the 14-day window.

  • Location: We currently only accept orders within South Africa. No international orders.

6. Cancellations & Returns

  • Cancellations (Before Shipping): Cancellations of any paid and confirmed order will incur a 30% non-refundable fee to cover processing and packaging. The shipping fee will be refunded.

  • Returns (After Shipping): If you wish to return an order after it has been dispatched, a 50% penalty fee of the total order value will apply. The shipping fee will be forfeited.

  • Return Shipping: The cost of the return courier is the sole responsibility of the customer. We strongly suggest using a tracked and insured service, as we are not responsible for goods lost in transit. Goods lost in transit cannot be refunded.

  • Damaged Goods: If items arrive damaged, please email us via the Contact Page with clear, in-focus photos of the damage. We will arrange a refund for the item upon its return.
