The darkest blue/purple form of this species in cultivation. A rarity at best to come by! Triteleia laxa brings us across the Atlantic to California and Oregon. Known by the fantastic common name Ithuriel's Spear, it is a member of the Asparagaceae family (though formerly considered a Lily). If you’ve heard it called the Grassnut or Indian Potato, that’s because the corms are edible and were a staple food for Native American tribes, reportedly tasting much like a sweet, nutty potato when roasted.
